WEST TOWN

DESCRIPTION

Once a working-class Polish neighborhood, then a working-class Hispanic neighborhood, this up-and-coming area is loosely bordered by Western, Division, Lake, and 90/94 expressway. Increasingly popular, West Town offers a variety of restaurants and shops from the quaint to the eclectic and artistic to the upscale. It has convenient access to downtown and the suburbs via the Kennedy Expressway and the blue “L” line.

The West Town neighborhood is also home to sub neighborhoods of Noble Square and Ukrainian Village. Like the overall area this is a quickly changing area that is creating unique shops, restaurants and night life; while providing easy access to the blue line, bus routes and the expressway.
