ROSCOE VILLAGE

ROSCOE VILLAGE

DESCRIPTION

roscoe_village_aerial

Roscoe Village lies between Belmont (3200 N), Addison (3600 N), Damen (2000 W) and Western (2400 W). The area has been described as “quiet”, “quirky” and “eclectic”. It offers a great alternative to Lincoln Park or Lakeview for those who want to be close to the action but prefer a quieter and slightly less expensive neighborhood. Roscoe Village is primarily residential with good antique shops and a few bars and restaurants lining its namesake street. Community message boards give the neighborhood a friendly feel, and it draws people on weekends for brunches and antique hunting.

Roscoe Village has excellent public transportation with its many bus routes and stops for the brown “L” line for easy access into downtown Chicago (the Loop). Street parking is available without the need of parking permits.
