DESCRIPTION

Bucktown is located between the Kennedy Expressway, Western Avenue (2400 W), North Avenue (1600 N) and Fullerton (2400 N). This neighborhood was revitalized in the late 1980s and has become a slightly less expensive alternative to Lincoln Park for young professionals. It is home to trendy restaurants, art galleries, and many bars and clubs.

Bucktown is easily accessible via the stop for the blue “L” line at North and Damen, the Metra station on Clybourn Avenue, and the Kennedy Expressway. Two Metra lines stop at the Clybourn station: the Union Pacific North Line with service to the northern suburbs (e.g., Evanston, Wilmette Winnetka and Highland Park) and Kenosha, Wisconsin and the Union Pacific Northwest Line to northwestern locations like Arlington Park, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Palatine and Des Plaines.
