Ravenswood is the area between Sacramento (3000 W), Montrose (4400 N), Foster (5200 N), and Clark. This quieter and less densely developed residential neighborhood near the North Branch of the Chicago River contains several parks. The area is known for quite residential living, with easier street parking, unique restaurants and a strong neighborhood feel.
Ravenswood has excellent public transportation with many bus routes, stops for the brown “L” line for easy access into downtown (the Loop). Is also has a stop on Metra’s Union Pacific North Line with service between the Loop and Kenosha, Wisconsin, including North Shore suburbs such as Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka and Highland Park. Street parking is much less congested than in other neighborhoods and does not require a parking permit.
